Chevrolet, Volvo, STV push road safety with Young Street Smarts school tour

MANILA, Philippines - Support from the local automotive industry continues to pour for the Young Street Smarts Road Safety School Tour. These are seminars and workshops that aim to teach students to become safe and responsible road users. Organized by Sociocom Foundation for Asia in tandem with Sunshine Television (STV), these free seminars are conducted in high schools located in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces. A staunch supporter of the road safety advocacy, The Car Covenant Company, Inc. (TCCCI), exclusive distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines represented by its managing director and COO Atty. Albert Arcilla (middle, above photo) and Lyn Buena, marketing director (right) recently signed a contract of participation with STV for the school year 2011-2012 represented by its chairman and CEO Ray Butch Gamboa (left). And consistent with Volvo’s global concern for safety, Viking Cars, Inc., exclusive distributor of Volvo vehicles, considered as one of the safest vehicles in the world, pledged their support for the Young Street Smarts Road Safety School Tour. Confirming their participation are Roselyn Dimalanta, first executive vice president (center, below) and Paolo Ella, senior supervisor (right) together with STV and Sociocom’s chairman and CEO Ray Butch Gamboa (left).
