Pilipinas Shell prepares for the Holy Week exodus

MANILA, Philippines - As thousands of motorists take to the provincial roads this Lenten season, Pilipinas Shell embraces its responsibility to cater to the throng of travelers who are expected to flock its stations during the Holy Week with several key activities. “We have lined up a roster of activities and offerings to help people on the road this season. We are here to provide them our Quality Fuels and lubes, and provide services for their cars to keep their journey as hassle-free as possible,” says Pilipinas Shell General Manager for Retail Bong Fadullon.

Hitting the Road Safe Safety, being one of the core pillars of Pilipinas Shell, sits high atop the list of priorities. As such, during this peak travel season, the company has committed to help ensure that customers travel safely. In line with this, Shell will be offering free 32-point check and emergency assistance by trained mechanics in two of its most visited stations along the country’s major tollways –– the NLT 1 (NLEX Northbound) and SLT 1 (SLEX Southbound).

The Great P888 Oil Change Motorists who troop to selected Shell stations may avail of an oil change at a discounted rate of P888 in any of the Shell Helix Service Centers in order to ensure their vehicles’ optimum engine performance. Aside from this, travelers may also avail of the other services offered in the Shell Helix Service Center to make sure their cars are in top shape and while waiting, they can relax inside the air-conditioned customer lounge which also has free Wi-Fi and coffee (available in selected stations nationwide).

All-In-One Stopover Being in close proximity to the entry and exit points of both the North Luzon and South Luzon expressways, Pilipinas Shell aims to make their major stations one-stop-shops for motorists. These stations, Shell NLT 1 (20 kilometres away from the Balintawak toll booth), Shell NLT 2 (six kilometres from Dau exit), Shell NLT 3 in the Shell of Asia development, Shell SLT 1 (just after the Alabang exit southbound) and Shell SLT 2 (after the Mamplasan exit northbound) all offer clean restrooms, well-stocked Shell Select shops and a wide-array of restaurants and other stores. During the Holy Week, Shell and its partners will be giving out freebies like ice cream and beverages plus other value-added services such as a free chair massage for every P1,500 fuel purchase in Shell NLT 1 and Shell SLT 2 stations.

A More Powerful Drive At the end of the day, the most important thing Shell can offer motorists is its quality fuels. “At Shell we know that all fuels are not the same which is why we are committed every day to making better fuels for our customers and their cars,” says Fadullon.

“Be it in quality fuels, value-added services or just the simple act of keeping our restrooms clean, we want to make the experience more meaningful for our customers who will hit the road this Holy Week,” ends Fadullon.
