Special Trip for Special Kids

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Possibilities is a non-governmental organization that aims to serve as a haven of hope for children with special needs. As a compassionate system of support, it strives to unite various resources in order to provide information, facilities, expertise, and experience for the nurturing, enrichment, and empowerment of these special children and their families.

Its vision is to provide special children with enriching experiences through activities that will allow them to explore and enhance their gifts and bond with their friends. In line with this, Center for Possibilities and Virlanie Foundation together with Foton Motors and the Home Depot recently organized a trip for abandoned special children to the Avilon Zoo.

The children of Virlanie Foundation are abandoned special children - the uniqueness of their condition makes them especially deserving of much attention and compassion. Foton Motors provided the logistics and a full-sized coach for the kids while Home Depot provided gift bags and arranged for the booking with Avilon Zoo with its owner, Jake Gaw.

Rommel Sytin, president of Foton Motors, thought it would be a great summer activity and even asked his own sons Timothy and Joshua to join in the trip. The trip was arranged by The Philippine Star columnist Cito Beltran together with Dolores Cheng, the founder of Center of Possibilities.
