Dubbed as the Total Philippine Transport Show, Motorex (for Motor Exhibition) features displays and exhibits on land, sea and air transport as well as special features such as the International Plastic Modelers Societys 2002 RP Scale Modeling Competition, remote control electric-powered car races, seminars, product demonstrations and a lot more.
Also gracing the affair were Transportation Secretary Leandro Mendoza, DOTC Assistant Secretary Roberto Lastimoso, House of Representatives Rep. Jacinto Paras, chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Communications, Ambassador Pitiduwa Karusnasiri of Sri Lanka, Administrator Oscar Sevilla of Maritime industry Authority, and Atty. Emmanuel Sison, secretary to Manila Mayor Lito Atienza.
The exhibit formally opened at 3 p.m. with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the exhibit hall. The show will be open to the pubic daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until September 15.
The LTOs "One-Stop-Shop" center was likewise launched during the event at the LTO-Stradcom Pavilion. The LTOs "One-Stop-Shop" will be opening soon in other shopping malls in various parts of Metro Manila. LTO services include issuance of student permit, license renewal and motor vehicle registration.
