To describe where the Philippines is can be quite a feat for some people. Good thing, the brilliant ambassador Rod Severino recently launched his book entitled “Where in the World is the Philippines?” Hosted by the Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development led by its chairman ambassador Bobby Romulo and held at the Manila Polo Club, the launch turned into a plush social event that was well-attended by opinion leaders from the government, academe, business, media and the foreign diplomatic corps who all had an enjoyable and serious time discussing the challenging national issue. Keynote speakers former president Fidel Ramos, former National Security head and legal luminary Estelito Mendoza and General Jose Almonte gave their commentaries on the imperatives of focusing and prioritizing this issue at the highest level of government because of its political and security implications, domestically and internationally. Congratulations!
