In celebration of the 10th Foundation for Lay Education on Heart Diseases (FLEHD), the 10th Annual Convention on Preventive Cardiology for Physicians with the theme “Celebrating 10 years of extensive pioneering work on Preventive Cardiology educational programs” was recently held at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza.
Key lectures came from multi-awarded interventional cardiologist and researcher from Michigan State University doctor Alejandro Prieto to help attain the aim of providing better cardiovascular care.
FLEHD chairman Jose Concepcion received a special tribute through a presentation entitled “How to Remain Young at Heart: The Musical Drama” starring mezzo soprano Jai Sabas Aracama, tenors Jeremiah Calisang and Ervin Lumauag with the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus and the FLEHD Ballet Artists.
An inspiring and enlightenng State of the Foundation Address came from FLEHD president doctor Adolfo Bellosillo.
Among the esteemed guests were Marixi Rufino Prieto, Joey Cuisia, Marivic and Menchu Concepcion and Paing Hechanova.
