It was an event like no other when Palafox Associates recently marked its 20th year with a grand anniversary celebration at the Ayala Museum.
Dubbed “Global Practice Well Into the 21st Century,” the milestone occasion started off with a photo exhibit of the different local and international Palafox projects led by the country’s visionary global architect Felino ‘Jun’ Palafox, Jr.
An awesome crowd of over 500 people, representing 23 countries, gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Twenty years ago, the world changed - the fall of the Berlin Wall, Russia’s Revolution, the World Wide Web, Tiananmen Square, The Dalai Lama’s Nobel, GPS, Japan’s Burst Bubble and the Birth of Palafox Associates. Present were Rico Tantoco, Jeffrey Ng, Iloilo City mayor Jerry Treñas, Carmona, Cavite City mayor Roy Loyola, Marilou Alferez, Myrna Yao, Vince Carlos, Ed Fereira and Henry Yurez, among many others.
The event also showcased the firm’s having master planned more than 11 billion square meters of land and having been involved in the architectural design of more than seven million square meters in building floor area in 32 countries.
The Architects, Urban Planners, and Designers of Palafox Associates has, in the span of 20 years, placed the Philippines in the World Architecture map as the only firm from the Philippines and Southeast Asia in the top 200 architectural practices in the world.
Congratulations!
