IT course fuels dream business

Who would have thought that a business solutions company would be born out of a young boy’s dream?  Such is the case of Victa Software Solutions, a fast-rising IT company, founded by entrepreneur John Carlo Rodriguez Nova. Nova first thought of owning his own business as a young boy, watching his mother run hers.

Watching his mother run her business, John Nova dreamed of having his own. He had a love for science and for finding solutions to everyday problems. Always exploring, John tinkered with the mechanical workings of everyday objects, and even took his toys apart to find out how they worked. “I even had my own ‘exhibit’ at home,” he says.  “I would line up my ‘discoveries’ and experiments’ for my friends to look at.”

It was this interest in science that drew John to IT. He saw the similarities between the two disciplines and was attracted to the creation and experimentation involved in programming. Slowly, the idea of creating an IT career became John’s focus.  He looked for the best places to learn the craft, and found himself taking several certificate courses to gain IT experience and skills.  However, it wasn’t enough.  He needed a course that would be accepted internationally and equip him to compete in the global IT arena.  Remembering the excellent quality of education he received at Informatics when he took a Java programming course, he decided to enroll at Informatics International College, where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

“I chose to take up further studies at Informatics because of their ladderized learning program, which allows you to keep on studying if you want to, but also equips you with necessary skills at every level. For example, if you could only study for a year, you’re already qualified for some IT positions. Of course, it’s preferable to complete the whole course, but sometimes, it’s not always possible. It’s good to know you’ll always have a fallback.” John explains. “It was also the best choice for me because a certificate from Informatics is recognized internationally, and I wanted to be able to be employed globally.”

Today, John Nova’s business is a fast-growing success.  Victa Software Solutions provides excellent IT service to a diverse group of clients, ranging from small to large scale enterprises and serving as an inspiration to all other IT practitioners. John advises other IT entrepreneur to keep their focus, and to persevere in the pursuit of their goals. “You may struggle at first for there are many competitions nowadays.” John cautions.  “Remember — success doesn’t happen overnight. Don’t be impatient or focused on immediate financial rewards. To be successful, you must take the risk, be competitive, have unique ideas, be creative and think big.”
