RCBC, GXI form partnership

MANILA, Philippines - G-Xchange Inc. (GXI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe Telecom, has entered into a partnership with Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC), through its remittance arm RCBC TeleMoney to give RCBC TeleRemit clients a wider option in claiming their remittances.

Under the agreement, RCBC TeleRemit beneficiaries will be able to use GXI’s pioneering m-commerce service-GCASH, to claim their remittances. RCBC TeleRemit users can pick-up their money from any of the 18,000 GCASH Remit outlets serving as RCBC pay-out outlets.

This spells convenience for RCBC TeleRemit customers as they can drop by the GCASH payout outlet nearest them for fast, affordable, convenient, and secure remittance service even after banking hours, or during weekends and holidays.

Beneficiaries simply need to present their RCBC TeleRemit reference number and one valid ID to claim their remittance from any of the 288 RCBC or RCBC Savings Bank branches, or any authorized GCASH REMIT payout outlet.

The RCBC TeleRemit or ‘Advise and Pay Anywhere’ service provides fast and secure remittances in the shortest possible time.

Through its instant notification feature via text, the beneficiary is immediately notified of incoming remittance. The beneficiary has the option to pick up the cash from any RCBC or RCBC Savings Bank, or through an accredited retail store chain or pawnshop.

GCASH REMIT is the cash pick-up service of GCASH. A sender may choose to send remittance from abroad through GCASH REMIT international partners. The beneficiary can pick-up the remittance at any accredited GCASH REMIT local outlet.

To date, GCASH REMIT is the largest remittance network in the country with more than 18,000 payout outlets nationwide, including Globe Stores, rural banks, pawnshops, as well as neighborhood sari-sari stores, gift shops, multi-purpose cooperatives, cell phone shops, and many more.
