MANILA, Philippines - The Shangri-La Group of hotels and restaurants in the Philippines has appointed the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) as trustee of its employees’ retirement fund.
Covered by the Metrobank Corporate Stewardship Program, the employees of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts Philippine Properties (Makati Shangri-La, Edsa Shangri-La and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa) are entitled to varios benefits of the program.
The benefits program provide employees exclusive benefits and privileges such as preferential loan rates on Metrobank housing and car loan, discounted medical services from accredited hospitals, and special discounts and packages from select Toyota car dealers.
Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently own and/or manages 66 hotels under the Shangri-La and Traders brands with a rooms inventory of over 30,000. Shangri-La hotels are five-star deluxe properties featuring extensive luxury facilities and services.
Shangri-La hotels are located in Australia, Canada, mainland China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, the Philippines, Singapore, Sultanate of Oman, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
Likewise, the group has over 40 projects under development in Austria, Canada, mainland China, France, India, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Republic of Mongolia, Russia, Qatar, Seychelles, Turkey and United Kingdom.
