MANILA, Philippines - The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has received two awards during the 33rd Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) held at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Canada recently.
The Rural Power Project (RPP) was cited under the Environmental Development category for its significant impact in minimizing or eradicating environmental risks and in promoting environmental management practices.
The power-financing project also enabled barangays and 90 percent of households in rural areas access to electricity services. DBP’s 1st Sustainable Development Report received a special award for its triple bottom line framework of economic, ecological and social impact programs.
