The UCPB ATM Rover is a full service ATM facility from which customers can withdraw cash, pay their bills, transfer funds, reload their prepaid cellular phone and Internet access and perform all other transactions available in a fixed site ATM.
The UCPB ATM Rover is the banks second mobile banking facility after the highly successful UCPB ATM Mobile. Its development underscores UCPBs continuing passion for innovation and its responsiveness to the needs of customers for convenient ATM banking services.
Over the past several years, demand for ATM service has been growing at a very fast pace. Last year for example, the banks ATM network handled over 15 million customer transactions,w hich is more than double the seven million transactions two years ago. In the first six months of 2002, customers ATM transactions have already reached 8.2 million.
UCPB has been aggressively expanding its ATM network to meet the growing demand for the service. Between January 1999 and August 2002, the bank instaled 104 ATMs; it now has a total of 208 ATMs.
Meanwhile, UCPBs retail Internet banking service, UCPB Connect, was named the best online banking facility in the country by the highly authoritative technology publication PC World Philippines.
"UCPB Connect lords it over the other Internet banking facilities by virtue of its flexibility and rich features," says PC World Philippines in its May 2002 issue. PC World Philippines is affiliated with International Data Group, one of the worlds largest IT media, research and exposition company.
In making the selection, PC Worlds online business manager Heinz G. Bulos conducted an extensive review of six local Internet banking service facilities and ranked them in terms of ease of use, features, security and service performance.
UCPB Connect topped the field in three of these four rating criteria and emerged with the highest overall score of 87 percent.
