Basic PCO training & accreditation set

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau-(DENR-EMB- NCR) and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines Inc. will conduct a “Basic Training Course for New Pollution Control Officers (PCO)” at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon Ave., Quezon City on Dec. 8-11.

WEAP is a member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) based in the United States.

The four-day seminar will orient prospective PCOs on the different environment laws and their corresponding rules and regulations, EMB policies and programs, and PCO duties and responsibilities.

Director Roberto Sheen will spearhead the training to enable the industries to improve their environmental management, pollution prevention and cleaner production programs.
