MANILA, Philippines – Le Club, the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, will have a pavilion at the forthcoming Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2009 to house at least 15 leading firms showcasing why France is a powerful agri-based economy in Western Europe.
Le Club vice president Michel Hermelin said the French pavilion would thus feature a very wide range of French products and services that could help boost the growth of the local and global agribusiness industry.
This will be Le Club’s sixth consecutive year of participation in Agrilink Foodlink and Aqualink, which constitute the country’s biggest and most prestigious annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture.
The exhibiting firms in Le Club’s pavilion are Bayle SA, Pamora Farms, Space, Stolz, Vitalac, Island Rose, Richel Group, Actemium, PT Jetec, Bretagne International, Vergnet Hydro, Labaronne Citaf, Le Cellier, Tefal, and Rustan’s Marketing Corp.

The largest retailer and wholesaler of roses in the country, Island Rose grows popular varieties of Dutch and French flowers using state-of-the art greenhouse facilities in Tagaytay, while the Richel Group is a leading manufacturer of greenhouses in Europe.
On the other hand, Actemium provides integrated info technology services that include analysis, development and deployment of automation processes for various businesses, while PT Jetec specializes in automation, instrumentation, telemetry, industrial software development and electrical design.
France’s only manufacturer of wind turbines, Vergnet Hydro leads in mid-range wind-power generation using adjustable twin-bladed aerogenerators, whereas Labaronne Citaf manufactures a complete range of tanks that can store any kind of liquid.
On French wines, the best from the wine-producing regions in France are being distributed in the Philippines by Le Cellier, which is expected to present in Agrilink two of its prime wine producers — Ferraud & Fils, and Fiee des Lois.
Meanwhile, Bretagne International offers confidential support to companies aiming to access the European market.
Completing the lineup is distribution firm Rustan’s Marketing Corp., which represents various international prestige brands of personal care, fashion, fragrances, home, health care and food products. The leading non-stick cookware maker Tefal is also represented by Rustan’s. Tefal is also a worldwide leader in pressure cookers, electrical cooking appliances, food and beverage preparation, irons and scales.
Such products will be arrayed with the world’s best during Agrilink’s three-day run on Oct. 8-10 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. This international exhibit will feature products, equipment, facilities and systems on post-harvest, aquaculture, horticulture, poultry and livestock, feed ingredients and milling, fertilizers and pest management, transport and logistics, waste management, food ingredient and additives, food processing and packaging, dairy, animal health and nutrition, and breeding and spawning technologies, among many others.
