The Water Environment Association of the Philippines (WEAP) Inc. will hold its third national convention on July 24-25 at the Oxford Hotel, Clark Special Economic Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga with the theme “Global Warming Challenges to Water Resources.”
WEAP is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) based in the United States.
Rico Ongkoy, WEAP president, said the convention theme is in line with WEAP’s commitment to protect the country’s water resources and unite and strengthen its members and the country’s water sectors.
The affair, he said, will showcase different products, technologies and services in the water system. A technical seminar will be held on “Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources,” “Watershed Management, Development and Sustainability,” “Updates on Implementing Rules and Regulations on the Clean Water Act,” “Safety in the Operation and Maintenance of Water Systems,” “Planning of Sewage Collection System,” and “Clean Development Mechanism and Biogas Recovery from Wastewater Treatment.”
Officials and personnel from the water districts, local government units, private companies, manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, engineers, pollution control officials and other related sectors, are invited to attend as participants, exhibitors and promoters.
