The corporations silver anniversary program coincides with the nationwide observance of the Quedan Agri-Credit Week from April 13 to 20 pursuant to Presidential proclamation No. 152. Lined up for the silver anniversary celebration is the awarding of the annual Gawad Quedancor to outstanding borrowers, top lending banks and local government units participating in the corporations various innovative agri-fishery financing programs. Special citations will likewise be conferred to company supporters who have remained steadfast in promoting Quedancors financing programs led by the Allied Banking Corp., Land Bank of the Phils., Philippine Veterans Bank, Capitol City Rural Bank of Trece Martires, Enterprise Bank, Inc. and the Green Bank of CARAGA.
The affair ushers in the institutional launching of the National Card for Beneficiaries (NCB Card) of the Self-Reliant Team Programs. The NCB Card system, more than just a form of identification, is a privilege given to Quedancor borrowers under its Self-Reliant Team (SRT) programs for additional access to credit. It is an innovative feature that refers to the availability of additional credit benefit to SRT clients and their immediate family members in cases of emergency.
According to Quedancor president and CEO Nelson C. Buenaflor, "The NCB Card benefits Quedancor clients and immediate family members of additional loan of up to a maximum of P30,000 for the following needs: medical/hospital, burial and/or educational expenses, calamity relief assistance, employment-related fees and other family concerns."
