MANILA, Philippines — A teacher was accused of threatening to bomb the Philippine Women’s University in Sta. Cruz, Laguna on Tuesday.

The threat was reportedly posted in a students’ chat group.

The threat reportedly read: “pasabi sa principal natin bobombahin ko ‘yung school.”

A member of the group informed a school official about the supposed threat.

The official  reported the matter to the school human resource office.

Members of the faculty confronted the teacher, who denied he was the one who sent the message.

Investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, in Batangas, seven students were trapped in the elevator at the University of Batangas main campus in Batangas City on Tuesday.

Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection responded and rescued the students who were stuck from 4 p.m. to past 7 p.m.

The students exited through a narrow opening forged by the rescuers. They were found to be in good condition.
