Roads closed for Lingkod Bayani Run

MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission yesterday announced road closures for the CSC Lingkod Bayani Run on Sept. 13.

The run, which will span three, five and 10 kilometers, will use Roxas Boulevard and Padre Burgos Avenue, the CSC said.

Road closures will be implemented from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The event is expected to draw up to 15,000 participants.

According to CSC, the event marks the 126th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

Proceeds from the run will support the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani program, in which surviving families of deceased government workers will receive a P100,000 grant and a college scholarship for a dependent.
