4 people die in Pasay fire

MANILA, Philippines — Four people are confirmed dead from a fire that hit a residential area along Tengco Street in Barangay 107, Pasay yesterday.

Barangay chairman Salvador Vargas said a family of four was reported missing after being trapped at their house when the fire started at 1:44 p.m.

At least 30 families were affected by the blaze, he added.

The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the second alarm at 2:03 p.m. before declaring the fire under control at 3:45 p.m.

The BFP said the four victims were recovered from the first floor of their house, which collapsed during the blaze.

At least four people were reported injured after sustaining burns and other injuries.
