MANILA, Philippines — The country's overall inflation eased to 6.4% in June 2026 from 6.8% in May, according to the latest report from the Philippine Statistics Authority.

The slowdown was primarily driven by the slower annual increase in the indices of transport (12.8%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.2%) and furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (3.7%).

The easing of overall inflation brought the Philippines' average inflation rate to 4.8% for the January to June period, the PSA said.

This is a developing story.
