Transit mobility solutions provider introduces latest suite of services
CEBU, Philippines — Good Transport Solutions Inc. (GTSI), a leading provider of transit mobility solutions, is transforming the public transport sector with innovative technology aimed at enhancing security, transparency, and profitability.
During a forum on February 27, 2025, attended by Cebu-based transport operators, cooperatives, and corporations under the Public Transportation Modernization Program (PTMP), GTSI unveiled its latest suite of services, headlined by the revolutionary Bus Revenue Tracker System (BRTS).
This cutting-edge platform is designed to revolutionize public transport operations by leveraging real-time data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions.
As Cebu advances its public transport modernization initiatives, GTSI’s solutions represent a new era of efficiency and accountability, empowering operators while elevating the commuter experience across the region, according to Brezhnev Tero, CEO of GTSI.
GTSI provided a live demonstration of the BRTS System Portal, showcasing its ability to deliver real-time operational insights. The system integrates AI-powered passenger counting, automated revenue tracking, and advanced data analytics, enabling transport operators to monitor and optimize their operations effectively.
One of the platform's standout features is the AI-powered People Counting CCTV, a state-of-the-art technology ensuring accurate passenger tracking and fare validation.
By addressing issues such as revenue discrepancies, pilferage, and fraudulent ticketing, the system is projected to boost earnings by at least P1,000 per bus daily, significantly enhancing profitability for operators.
“Many operators face revenue losses due to inefficiencies on the ground. With BRTS, we provide real-time transparency, empowering operators to track performance, mitigate losses, and optimize their operations,” Tero explained.
Dubbed the “anti-kupit” (anti-theft) solution, BRTS, first launched in 2022, has already been adopted by over 250 buses across the Visayas region.
Clent Allent Prajes, area channel manager of Dahua Technology Philippines, emphasized the system's security benefits, noting that the AI-powered People Counting CCTV enhances operational efficiency and seamlessly integrates with fare collection systems, effectively eliminating revenue losses.
Fritz Co, general manager of Rhino Bus Transport OPC, highlighted how BRTS has strengthened their revenue control. “BRTS provides us with oversight we’ve never had before. The system’s real-time monitoring and passenger counting feature ensure every fare is accurately accounted for,” he said.
Similarly, Priscilla Cabonita, chairperson of Lahug Apas Transport Coop (Latransco), which operates over a hundred bus units, shared how BRTS has significantly improved their operational efficiency.
“We can instantly evaluate the performance of buses, passenger assistant officers (PAOs), and drivers,” she stated.
Loreto Gerez Jr., chairman of Mandaue Transport Coop, praised the system's seamless integration.
“For the first time, we can clearly see our actual revenue in real-time and immediately identify discrepancies, ensuring accurate tracking of our PAOs and conductors,” he said.
Beyond revenue tracking, GTSI addressed a pressing industry issue: the need for a centralized blacklist system to prevent individuals with fraudulent records from transferring undetected between operators.
Ellen Maghanoy, chairperson of the Cebu Federation of Transport Cooperatives, strongly advocated for enhanced regulatory measures. GTSI committed to developing a solution for this concern, with further discussions scheduled for April 2025.
Mira Mae Magdadaro, head of sales and implementation at GTSI, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to transparency, efficiency, and profitability in public transport. She announced plans for scheduled visits to transport operators' offices for live demonstrations and consultations, ensuring smooth system adoption and optimization. — (FREEMAN)
