MANILA, Philippines — Grab Philippines is set to compete by early next year a new facility dedicated to empowering its growing ecosystem of drivers, riders and merchant-partners.
The company has started construction of the Grab Asenso Center in Marikina, a one-hectare facility that is targeted to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2025.
The Grab Asenso Center will replace the current Grab Partner Center and offer expanded facilities such as a larger, state-of-the art road safety training and assessment area.
It will also have enhanced spaces for onboarding and orientation for drivers and merchant-partners as well as dedicated upskilling areas, including programs tailored to both Grab and Move It partners.
Grab said the new facility aims to serve as a cornerstone for the company mission of uplifting lives through technology and innovation.
“For over 13 years, Grab has been a platform that drives not just economic activity but meaningful impact. The Grab Asenso Center will ensure our partners – whether drivers, riders, or merchants – are equipped to succeed in today’s digital-first economy,” Grab Philippines country head Ronald Roda said.
“This facility represents our commitment to uplift communities and empower everyday entrepreneurs to thrive,” he said.
Grab said the construction of the new facility would also accelerate its ongoing pledge to create 500,000 livelihood opportunities.
“App-based platforms like Grab are key drivers of inclusive growth, bridging technology and opportunity. Initiatives such as the Grab Asenso Center complement our efforts to modernize mobility while creating more dignified and sustainable livelihoods for transport workers. We look forward to seeing its impact on building a safer and more professional transportation network,” Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said.
