MANILA, Philippines — The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, in partnership with Deloitte and the Makati Business Club, celebrated outstanding internal communication efforts at the inaugural Triple P Sustainability Awards held at the Marriott Hotel, Pasay.
This event acknowledged organizations that not only excel in sustainability but also develop strong internal communication to empower employees and drive meaningful impact.
The Triple P Sustainability Awards, guided by the pillars of People, Planet and Progress, highlighted the importance of employee engagement and effective communication in advancing sustainability goals within organizations.
“Internal communication is the heartbeat of any organization. When employees are well-informed, engaged and aligned with the company’s vision, they become empowered to contribute meaningfully to both business objectives and sustainability goals,” said IABC Philippines president Belle Tiongco.
The prestigious Best Internal Communications Award was presented to Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) for its “EESG: Making Positive Impacts and Contributions” initiative. MPIC demonstrated exemplary internal communication strategies that not only enhanced employee engagement but also aligned their workforce with the company’s sustainability vision, promoting unity and innovation in achieving ESG objectives.
MPIC’s approach highlights how strong internal communication can serve as the backbone for sustainability efforts. By keeping employees informed and connected to the company’s goals, MPIC exemplified how strategic communication drives both organizational unity and long-term impact.
“In today’s dynamic business landscape, effective internal communication is essential to building a culture where sustainability thrives from within,” said Melody del Rosario, chair of the IABC ESG Committee. “These awards celebrate not just the outcomes, but the processes that develop alignment, engagement, and innovation among employees – because true progress starts with the people working toward it every day.”
