MANILA, Philippines — SM Advantage Card (SMAC), the loyalty program of SM Retail, turned over P14 million to the SM Foundation’s education program on Oct. 1.
The donation, raised through the sale of SMAC cards and point donations from members, will fund 35 scholars for the upcoming school year 2025 to 2026, with 15 scholars from Luzon, 10 from Visayas and 10 from Mindanao.
“This achievement highlights the power of collaboration and the tremendous impact we can create when businesses and customers come together for a shared purpose. SM Advantage has shown how partnerships can drive meaningful change, and by engaging SMAC members, you have transformed daily transactions into opportunities for social good,” SM Foundation executive director for Education Programs Linda Atayde said.
This is the second donation from SMAC to the SM Foundation, following last year’s P5.5 million contribution, which supported 13 scholars for the 2024 to 2025 academic year.
With its social good partners, SM Foundation’s scholarship program now supports more than 2,500 scholars and has assisted over 4,200 college graduates.
