MANILA, Philippines — D.M. Wenceslao & Associates Inc. (DMW) has proven its might when it comes to adopting global sustainability practices.

DMW said it ranked at the top quintile in the real estate sector of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment as of January 2024.

The listed company has an 89-percentile rank, with 100 being the highest.

DMW said its performance puts it in the top 11 percent of S&P-assessed real estate companies globally.

The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment is an annual evaluation that scrutinizes the sustainability practices of 13,000 companies worldwide, spanning diverse industries.

DMW said sustainability, which is defined as meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own, is a core principle of the company.

“As one of the biggest property companies in the Philippines, DMW strives to create city-scale real estate products that contribute to sustainable local and national development,” the company said.

DMW’s five pillars of sustainability include quality of life, environmental stewardship, good governance and ethical business practices, people-centric labor practices, and economic development.

DMW is the master developer of Aseana City, a project on reclaimed land situated close to the Philippine Amusement Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR)’s Entertainment City and SM Mall of Asia.
