MANILA, Philippines — Telecommunications company Eastern Communications is beefing up its partnership with cable TV operators to support the growing connectivity demand of customers throughout the country.
“Eastern will continue expanding in new locations while strengthening our partnership with cable TV operators and of course with PCTA (Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association) in the next few years. These partnerships will play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of Internet accessibility throughout the country,” Eastern Communications head of sales Michael Castaneda said.
Eastern Communications offers cable TV operators a specialized internet direct service (IDS).
The company’s IDS is a premium dedicated internet connection with a 1:1 contention ratio which runs through its fully redundant fiber optic network.
By offering IDS for cable TV operators, Eastern Communications hopes that these providers will have enough bandwidth to cater to the growing needs of their consumers and serve more unserved customers.
“Our synergies with the PCTA and its members have allowed us to come up with a one-of-a-kind internet solution tailor-fit for cable TV providers. We both share in the same vision of seeing families better connected and seeing businesses prosper,” Eastern Communications’ head of product and innovation Edsel Paglinawan said.
Eastern Communications said it continues to expand in key strategic locations throughout the country in order to better serve customers.
Through this aggressive expansion initiative, the company also allows more cable TV operators to have access to its IDS variant in various locations nationwide.
“The overall expansion of Eastern Communications has made them available in Tuguegarao, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro, with further expansion plans in many other locations throughout the country scheduled for completion this year,” it said.
Eastern Communications has evolved into a telecommunications and ICT solutions company providing an extensive portfolio of services that include connectivity solutions, network solutions, security solutions, cloud and data center solutions, and business applications.
