MANILA, Philippines — State-run Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) recently installed its first automated teller machine (ATM) in the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen, Bohol as part of its efforts to expand its network, a top official said.
DBP president and chief executive officer Cecilia Borromeo said the newly-installed DBP ATM is the first and only ATM machine located at the world-famous tourist site.
“DBP continues to improve its accessibility to its products and services by consistently growing its ATM network,” Borromeo said.
Following this, the DBP chief said the bank now has a total of 710 ATMs nationwide.
In the first quarter alone, Borromeo said the bank installed 81 new ATMs, equivalent to 40.5 percent of its target of 200 new ATMs this year.
“Out of that number, 69 ATMs were installed in provincial sites in line with our commitment to bring banking services to the underserved areas,” she said.
