MANILA, Philippines - The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) will probe deeper into the basic instincts of public relations and its role in the Asean integration as it stages the 22nd National PR Congress from Sept. 24-25 at the InterContinental Manila Hotel, Makati City.
Culminating the Public Relations Month, the two-day congress dubbed as PR Basic Instinct (Now Showing) will feature speakers from reputable companies across the Philippines and Asia who will share their experiences in their PR practice as well as their perspective on the Asean integration and its impact on the PR industry.
This year’s speakers include Marianne Hontiveros of Air Asia Philippines; Larry Chan of Oishi-Liwayway Holdings Inc.; Jianina Salindong-Du of Procter and Gamble; Kankan Ramos Lim of Havas Media Ortega; Ron Jabal from PRSP ANVIL; Prita Kemal Gani of the Asean PR Network; Stuart Jamieson of Nielsen Philippines; Jay Bautista of Strategic Consumers and Media Incites; Jeannie Javelosa of ECHOstore Sustainable Lifestyle, EON Stakeholder Relations and Women’s Business Council; and Ronald Agulto from the Cyber Crime Division of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
The first day of the congress will focus on how local and foreign companies can survive crises amidst public and media pressure. An Oscars-themed fellowship night will also be held for the attendees.
The second day will lay out opportunities both in the local and international markets in time for the Asean integration.
September is celebrated as Public Relations Month through Proclamation No. 1357 in recognition of the valuable performance of PR practitioners all over the country. The annual National PR Congress further inspires everyone in the world of PR to value the profession and understand the heart and nature of PR work.
