MANILA, Philippines - Property developer Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is set to start construction of its 13th office tower within the next six months as it remains bullish on the demand for BPO office space in Metro Manila.
“We are aiming to launch Giga Tower within the first half of 2015,” RLC general manager for office buildings division Faraday D. Go told The STAR.
Go said Giga Tower would rise beside its 20-storey Tera Tower within the 8-hectare master planned Bridgetown Business Park in Libis, Quezon City.
He said the project would add about 35,000 square meters of gross leasable area to the company’s growing office portfolio.
“It will have a two-storey retail and service podium for food and service concepts,” Go said.
Giga Tower would be RLC’s third office tower that would be under construction this year.
Tera Tower is scheduled for completion by the third quarter this year, while the 25-storey Bonifacio Summit Center in Taguig City is set to be finished by the first quarter of 2017.
Together, the three projects would have a total office space of close to 130,000 square meters.
RLC has established itself as one of the most trusted and reliable BPO landlords in the country through its office and mixed-used developments in the Pasig (Ortigas), Mandaluyong, Makati and Cebu City.
The property development arm of tycoon John Gokongwei has 10 existing office buildings under its portfolio at present, nine of which are strategically in Metro Manila and one in Cebu.
