MANILA, Philippines - The peso sunk against the dollar midday Tuesday, settling at 44.823 from the previous day's 44.67.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $311.8 million in the morning, higher than the $196.5 million posted the same period on Monday.
The peso opened Tuesday at 44.75.
