MANILA, Philippines - Premier real estate developer Sta. Lucia Land, Inc. reaches out further into the growing overseas buyer market with the establishment of a new international sales office in the Chicago area in the United States.
Located in Niles, Illinois, adjacent to the north to the city of Chicago, the new office marks the fifth Sta. Lucia International sales office, which also includes Singapore, London, Dubai, and Los Angeles.
At least 90 percent of Sta. Lucia’s buyer’s profile consists of Filipinos living and working abroad, something that led to the opening of Sta. Lucia’s international offices.
“After California, we need to serve the needs of the huge percentage of Filipinos living in the Midwest and East Coast America. We’d like to offer convenience to our valued customers from different parts of the world,” says LiezelMagpoc, senior vice president for marketing and sales of Sta. Lucia International.
Real estate is now an investment of choice for many OFWs. The World Bank estimates that 60 percent of OFW remittances are being invested into real estate projects across the Philippines. The main reasons for this is providing homes for the families the OFWs left behind in the Philippines, for retirement when they return to the Philippines, and as a source of passive income.
“Filipinos abroad are now wise, opting to buy properties here in the Philippines, and then renting it out. It’s a wonderful additional source of income,” Magpoc adds.
Conveniently located inside a branch of a supermarket chain in Illinois, the Chicago Sta. Lucia sales office is easily accessible to potential buyers. The new office also brings a touch of home by hiring mostly Filipino agents and employees.
