Filipino biz leaders featured in Singapore forum

MANILA, Philippines - GoodNewsPilipinas.com and The Finely Filipino Magazine have organized a major forum that will enlighten Filipino professionals in Singapore if the right time has come to give up their foreign employment and be closer to family and work back in the Philippines.

Filipinos working overseas are always in a quandary if the right time has come to return to the Philippines, amidst a booming economy and better job opportunities.

But many of them still have questions if they will find a good paying job? Where to apply and who can help? Will there be good investment opportunities for their savings and what businesses can they invest in to improve their income?

These questions and more will be answered at an upcoming forum in Singapore called: Philippines! This Is The Right Time! A Forum on Opportunities: Jobs and Entrepreneurship.

The forum will be held on April 26  at the SUNTEC Convention Center, Singapore from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Among the speakers are captains of industry and successful business people such as Manny Pangilinan (chairman, PLDT), Vicky Belo (founder, Belo Medical Group), Carol Dominguez (president and CEO, John Clements consultants) and Armando Bartolome (chairman, The Association of Filipino Franchisers).

These notable speakers from the Philippines hope to answer the many questions of Filipino professionals in Singapore who are thinking about making that big leap to go back home and re-establish their careers or start a business.

â€œWith many of their career situations (IT, Banking, Services, Media, etc.) in Singapore uncertain, the option to return to the Philippines and offer their sterling business practices should be a welcome choice,” says Sandra Hernandez, director of MiraMar Publishing Pte Ltd, the publisher of the popular The Finely Filipino Magazine in Singapore.

Melannie Syquia-Hizon of GNP Views and Events adds, “We hope this forum will encourage Filipinos with best practices to share it with the rest of the Filipinos and help build further our economy.”
