MANILA, Philippines - The peso rose by 10.5 centavos against the dollar on Tuesday, closing at 44.735 from the previous day's 44.84.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $887.1 million, higher than the $771.7 million posted the previous day.
The peso opened Tuesday at 44.85.
