Seminar on laundry shop operation

MANILA, Philippines - The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct a two-day seminar on laundry shop operation on April 5 and 6 at the College of Social Work and Community Development, Magsaysay Ave., cor. Ylanan St., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The seminar will give participants information on how to  get started and  put up a laundry  shop. The key topics to be discussed are introduction to the laundry shop business, factors in the cleaning process, care labels guide, laundry shop layout, types of laundry, overview of the laundry, feasibility study, how much capital needed to start up,  what type of equipment, machines to be used, how to find location, staff requirements and  when and how much is the return of investment. Also  the work flow will be tackled in details such as receiving, sorting, segregating,  tagging, spotting, soaking, washing, drying, folding and packing, wet cleaning and dry cleaning procedure for barong, coat, gowns, special fabric will also be discussed.
