MANILA, Philippines - The peso closed the week with a 16-centavo improvement against the greenback, settling at 44.88 from the previous day's 45.04.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $857.9 million, higher than the $833.2 million posted on Thursday.
The peso opened Friday at 44.99.
