MANILA, Philippines - The peso moved sideways against the dollar on Monday, inching up by a centavo to close at 44.975 from last Friday's 44.985.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $418.9 million, way lower than the previous day's $972.5 million.
The peso opened on Monday at 44.9.
