MANILA, Philippines - You can buy more if you shop at tiangges (flea markets). In tiangges there is a strong business competition among stall holders and so they will try to attract more buyers.
One ideal shopping destination is the tiangge at the Greenhills Shopping Complex where about 2,000 stall holders are showcasing their product and goods in the 20th Philippine Toys, Gifts, Housewares and Christmas Decors Fair which is Nov. 4.
Shoppers like Greenhills because it is the home of the best tiangge where products and goods are high in quality but sold at much lower prices.
Many like Greenhills because it is accessible, with peaceful neighborhood, decent and clean, with modern theaters, several food chains, wide parking spaces, smart and courteous security guards and many more features designed for shoppers and customers.
The 25-day show is organized by Prime Asia Trade Planners & Convention Organizers (PATEPCO).
Henry G. Babiera, PATEPCO president/CEO and considered the tiangge king, offers some tips for budget-conscious shoppers.
Babiera suggests shoppers must be in simple attire if they prefer tiangge. By this way, they can move easily and more comfortable. But beware of pickpockets and slashers. They thrive where there is a big crowd.
Shoppers can get much lower price of goods services in tiangges especially if they know how to haggle prices.
