Oracle to adjust prices of security products for enterprises

MANILA, Philippines -- Computer company Oracle aims to adjust prices of its IT security products for more enterprises to adopt the technology.

"This year we will remodel the [product] price to allow bigger adoptability and to make sure the price meets the requirement," said Siva Belasamy, Regional Sales Director, Enterprise Security of Oracle Asia-Pacific.

With Oracle's technology built in open standard, Siva said they will not ask companies to remove similar security systems but may supplement it.

The executive said adjusting their product price includes removing the minimum requirement.

Among its IT security systems are the Oracle Identity Management 11g, Oracle Identity Governance Suite, and Oracle Access Management Suite Plus.

Siva announced Oracle is also offering latest security applications to help companies address BYOD (bring your own device) concerns.

"There are several security apps among organizations and they become nightmares for CIOs and CTOs," Siva said, noting that Oracle's goal is for companies to save on time, complexity and cost.

Siva said the American hardware and software company owns 70 percent of apps worldwide.

He also shared hackers today are strongly targeting the PCI or payment cut industry such as credit card details, ATM passwords, online accounts, among others, which Oracle promises to protect its customers.
