MANILA, Philippines - The local unit of management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture has opened a new facility in McKinley Hill in Taguig City, adding more capacity to serve its clients.
Accenture country managing director Manolito Tayag said in a press briefing yesterday the opening of the new facility is in line with the requirements of the firm and its clients.
The new facility occupies four floors in the Science Hub Tower 1 in McKinley Hill, with two floors now operational and the other two still under construction.
The new facility will cater to clients from all over the world.
With the opening of the new facility, Accenture now has 16 offices in the country with 13 located in Metro Manila and the rest in Cebu.
Tayag declined to say how many jobs would be created from the new facility but said the opening of the 16th office has increased the firm’s total workforce here to more than 28,000 from last year’s more than 21,000.
“We now have more than 28,000 employees here. We are the third biggest in headcount in Accenture’s global network, next to India and China,” he said.
“As we grow, we also showcase Filipino talent to the world,” he said.
Asked if there are plans to expand further, he said the opening of new facilities would depend on requirements from its clients and economic conditions.
“We continue to evaluate requirements depending on macroeconomic conditions,” he said.
