World's smallest interchangeable lens camera launched in Phl

MANILA, Philippines - Super East Asia launched last week a new product aimed at making the Pentax brand a major player in the local market for digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera.

 Called Pentax Q, the new product Is expected to drive the sales of SupereastAsia to a double-digit growth this year, said Robenson T. Ong Lo, vice president for operations of Super East Ents. Inc.

Pentax Q is billed as the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera. Lo said it is the trendiest, cutest compact camera but equally precise and effective.

The Q represents an evolution in interchangeable lens digital camera design featuring the smallest and lightest body. It offers versatility and precision of an advanced DSLR in a body that is significantly smaller than every other digital ILC available in the market today.

Users can choose from a rage of lenses that include prime, zoom, fisheye lenses and more that will suit their style, preference and photographic needs.

An international camera expert pointed out that one remarkable feature of this special camera is that even experienced photographers can get to enjoy the power and flexibility of a traditional DSLR hooting modes such as program, aperture, shutter pritority, and metered manual exposure control.

Casual shooters on the other hand, will appreciate the highly convenient automatic modes such as the set-it-and-forget-it Pentax Auto Picture and 21 scene modes.

It is packed with powerful shooting modes such as program, aperture/shutter priority and metered manual exposure control usually found in regular DSLRs.

For beginners, there’s the highly convenient auto picture and 21 scene modes. Other features include a variety of creative modes and smart effect options that will allow for enhanced photos.

All of these features are contained in a small and lightweight scratch resistant magnesium alloy body that is no bigger than the size of one’s palm.
