MANILA, Philippines - Derm Pharma, Inc. (DPI) Plant and Head Office have successfully passed the quality system management audit by the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP), catapulting the pharmaceutical giant into an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company.
The awaiting of the ISO certification took place recently at the DPI Head Office Present to award the prestigious recognition was Mr. Renato Navarrete, CIP managing director.
Navarrete, in his short message before DPI employees, said that the certificate may look simple but it says a lot about the excellence the company has demonstrated.
DPI Plant has been an ISO 9001:2000 certificate company since 2005. DPI Head Office, on the other hand, is a new ISO-certified company.
This year, DPI Plant met again the requirements set by the Quality Management System standard, prompting CIP to hand out DPI Plant its ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The feat is a double giant leap for DPI as it also included the Head Office in the recognition. Arleene Alipio, DPI Head Office finance manager and management representative, attributed the achievement to the DPI workforce’s teamwork. “I am part of it and you are part of this (success),” Alipio said.
