MANILA, Philippines - Ajinomoto’s new coffee table book titled ‘Pinoy Umami: The Heart of Philippine Cuisine’ was launched recently at the Ayala Museum Lobby in Makati City.
The coffee table book is bundled together with a recipe book called ‘Pinoy Umami Recipes’ with over 100 classic recipes that every Filipino will surely love. The book also boasts a collection of essays to award-winning Filipino culinary writers.
Katsuaki Ogawa, Ajinomoto Philippines Corp. president, said “to commemorate our 100th year anniversary here in the Philippines, we created this book in celebration of the unique and delicious Filipino food culture. We are very pleased to present these books as our gift for Filipinos.”
Katsuaki said that Umami is safe and makes nutritious foods taste better. The books will be available at major bookstores nationwide beginning December 2009.
