Government can save millions by using low-cost water stations

MANILA, Philippines - Every year, the government spends close to P50 million just for deliveries of bottled water to government offices.

Local government units alone spend close to P100 million each year for clean water in barangays.

“The government can save more money and cut losses by minimizing daily expenses on bottled water deliveries,” said an official of a company engaged in water purification.

“Schools, hospitals, subdivisions, factories, malls, condos, buildings, barangay halls, resorts and even military camps can save more money to be put to other uses by building their own low-cost water station,” said Rey Rivera of Electromex.

He said an ultra high purity (UHP) water station is the best alternative for bottled water. The UHP-500, is a high-capacity, low cost and transportable water refilling station.

The machine delivers five gallons of clean and safe purified water per minute, an average of 3,000 gallons a day, Rivera said.

The UHP500 features a power-packed plug-and-play system that has a production cost of 30 centavos per gallon.

Rivera said the UHP 500 comes complete with stainless steel tanks, pumps, multi-stage filters, carbon, ultraviolet germicidal sterilizer lamp and an ultra-powerful ozone generator that kills germs 3,000 times better and safer than commercial chlorine.

“DOH-certified” since it uses the reverse osmosis system, the UHP-500 equipment prevents zero backwash.

Electromex low-cost water refilling station project has been successful in private subdivisions, hospitals and factories throughout the country.

On the average, UHP500 can give purified water to about 500 families a day and can provide the water needs of at least 100 offices daily. For information on the water system, log on to www.electromexinc.com or call 4736144 and 4742744.
