Local search engine joins introduction-listing bandwagon

MANILA, Philippines - Local search engine Yehey!Corp. has joined the growing list of companies intending to list by way of introduction on the stock exchange.

Based on its registration statement filed at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Yehey! said it plans to list 278 million common shares with a par value of P1 on the second board of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Established on June 10, 1998, Yehey! has an authorized capital stock of P1 billion, consisting of one billion shares.

Yehey! is primarily engaged in the management and marketing of yehey.com and other organic websites which earn revenues through advertising. Due to the high traffic of Internet users using yehey.com, the website becomes a compelling platform for brand and marketing managers to serve as a medium where they can communicate with their target audience.

The company also derives revenues from Google through its participation in Google’s Adwords and Adsense program.

Yehey! aims to become a full-service digital marketing leader with its core services of digital campaign management, website development, e-commerce, digital research and public relations, search engine optimization.

Aside from this, Yehey! intends to continue to expand its client base by creating more websites and online projects and campaigns for corporate clients.

From managing a single website, Yehey! now manages and maintains a number of corporate websites. In 2006, it launched Yehey! Marketing Solutions which offers online marketing and consulting services to corporate clients.

The company also offers backroom services to key advertising and marketing agencies that do not have the required specialization for online marketing needs.

Yehey!’s parent firm Vantage Equities Inc. has investments in inward remittance, information technology and financial institutions, among others.

Two companies – AgriNurture Inc. and Century Peak Metals Holdings Corp. – have listed by way of introduction at the PSE so far this year. Ayala-led unit Integrated Microelectronics Inc. last week filed its intro listing application with the SEC.
