Ermita leads risk management gab

MANILA, Philippines - Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita will deliver the keynote address, followed by an impressive line-up of global experts in this year’s presentation of PROTECT 2009, an international conference cum exhibit to be held at World Trade Center on May13-15, 2009.

The conference, the fourth in the series of “Doing Business Amidst New Threats” will provide participants invaluable insights, actual experiences and best practices to help companies prevent business disruptions that threaten their business resiliency and risk management systems amidst the present global economic downturn. Discussions will focus on risks to business continuity arising from disruptions to supply-chain, cyber crimes, counterfeiting, threats to sea lanes and other risks to business caused by recession.

In the light of the H1N1 influenza spreading globally, an international expert from Marsh Risk Consulting will share with the participants how to prepare and respond to a pandemic.

The conference has three main sessions: The Present Security Environment, Business and Security, and Challenges, Implications and Required Changes.
