Vitarich plant gets HACCP certification

Vitarich Corp.’s feed plant in Marilao, Bulacan received recently its hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) certification attesting to the feed firm’s adherence to international quality and safety standards.

Vitarich chairman and president Rogelio Sarmiento said, “the certifications by ISO and HACCP emphasize the company’s firm and uncompromised commitment to excellence and service.”

Sarmiento said that “we at Vitarich understand that what goes into what our farmers raise and breed translates into quality food for the Filipino family because our feeds are all-natural and antibiotic-free.”

The HACCP certification is an international recognition of a modern, scientific, food safety system.

In securing certification, the system  identifies potential food safety hazards and, in effect, reduces or eliminates these risks.

A HACCP certification means that a Vitarich  plant has passed through a process of production that has satisfied internationally-acceptable levels of safety and quality.

The HACCP places under strict scrutiny all stages of food production and preparation processes.
