Through GlobeSolutions ServDirect Service, Bounty can use text messaging or short message service (SMS) to keep business partners, employees, and eventually the buyers up to date on information that they may require at any given time.
Bounty is the number two broiler integrator in the country and produces fresh chicken under the Bounty Fresh brand. With around 500 poultry contract growers and a contract growing capacity of 7.5 million, 11 branches and two sub-branches, seven feedmills, and 16 dressing plants, the company has grown from an obscure player to a formidable force in the Philippine poultry industry.
Bounty president Ronald Mascariñas said the decision to utilize ServDirect will benefit not only the company, but its business partners as well. In the next few months, Bounty will be utilizing the technology for its clients.
Globe Solutions ServDirect Service will be mainly used for information update. Grower can post information via a customized ServDirect menu (in MyGlobe) or via the Web. Branches can also update the ServDirect webpages of the company. Through this technology, growers and company employees can also send or retrieve information via SMC anytime and anywhere.
Mascariñas said management and its employees will be able to inquire about the efficiency of Bountrys contract growers nationwide via SMS. "There are many areas where there are no landlines, computers, nor access to the Internet and the fastest way to reach our partners is through text messaging, "he explained. Out of an eight million growing capacity, around three million is in Southern Tagalog.
Globe officials explained that the partnership with Bounty is only the first and they are already in talks with several other clients who intend to use ServDirect.
