The project, owned by Nordeste Industria Ltda, was awarded to Harty Inc. Philippines by Singapores Substation Project Pte. Ltd.
The work involved the design, construction supervision, quality control test and commissioning of a 13.8/230 kilovolt substation, and plant to grid connection for a 180-megawatt barge-mounted power plant located in Porto de Aratu.
Engineer Francis H. Aytona, president of Harty Inc. Philippines said the company is eyeing other overseas projects, particularly in South America and South Asia.
"Out officers, especially Rogelio V. Torres, vice president for engineering and Celso M. Velina, vice president for operations, are optimistic we can win more projects abroad because of our excellence performance," he said.
Last year (2001), Harty Inc. Philippines completed test and commissioning projects for ICSA in Taiwan, a sister company of IMPSA Philippines.
