Quedancor, the nation's top agri-financing system innovator, leads this year's celebration of the "Quedan Agri-Credit Week" from April 13 to 20, an annual celebration pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 152 promoting awareness on the need to enhance the access of small farmers and fisherfolk to credit.
A photo exhibit will open the weeklong celebration showcasing the 22 years of agri-financing implementation. Cooperative Development Authority Chairman Jose Medina Jr. will cut the ceremonial ribbon after delivering an inspirational message. It will be followed by the launching of a fund-raising project for a Regional II Quedancor employee suffering from a colon cancer.
Highlighting opening day is the 22nd anniversary celebration program of the Quedancor Agri-Financing Systems at 2:00 p.m. at the Quezon City Sport Club with Agriculture Secretary Edgardo J. Angara invited as keynote speaker. During the affair, outstanding banks and clients under the various quedancor programs will be conferred the Gawad Quedancor awards in recognition of their satisfactory performance as lending conduits and credit beneficiaries last year.
The traditional bloodletting will start on Day 2 at the Quedancor Center. A program implementation conference will also transpire where Central & Regional executives will evaluate first quarter corporate performance and re-evaluate strategic plans for succeeding quarters.
An agri-forum dubbed as "PAJ Agrihan" will be held on April 14 by the Philippine Agricultural Journalists featuring "Innovative Agri-Financing System" as their point of discussion in support of the Quedan Agri-Credit Week with agriculture experts as forum panelists. The day will be capped by an evening socials where QUEDANCOR employees, former staff, supporters and friends will have a reunion.
There will be a slogan and art marking contest on April 17 while on April 18, employees will show their athletic form in basketball and volleyball exhibition games.
An evening of awards giving will cap the week's activities dubbed as "C.R.E.D.I.T.S." (Campaign for Responsible & Efficient Delivery of Institutionalized Tasks and Services) where outstanding employees are given recognition as well as loyalty service awards in a fitting but simple ceremony.
