MANILA, Philippines — Naperwisyo nitong Lunes ang mga motorista at commuters matapos umabot sa pitong kilome­tro ang haba ng trapiko sa bahagi ng North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), partikular sa bayan ng San Simon, Pampanga, dahil sa pagbaha dulot ng habagat.

Ayon sa NLEX Corporation, nagkabuhol-buhol ang daloy ng sasakyan mula sa Candaba Viaduct, Tulaoc, hanggang sa southbound lane ng San Simon interchange.

Pansamantalang isinara ang isang seksiyon ng NLEX at ang Libtong Exit sa Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Ang dating 40 minutong biyahe ay tumagal ng hanggang 5 oras.

Kapwa apektado ang northbound at southbound lanes ng NLEX.

“Motorists approaching San Simon NB entry may take the San Simon Exit and re-enter NLEX via the San Simon entry as an alternative route to avoid the flooded section,” anang advisory.

“Motorists approaching San Simon SB may take the San Simon Exit and re-enter NLEX via the San Simon Southbound Entry as an alternative route to avoid the flooded section,” dagdag pa ng NLEX.

May mga U-turn slots bago ang Tulaoc Overpass at San Simon Interchange para sa mga nais bumalik sa northbound lane.

Naka-deploy ang mga patrol officers ng NLEX upang umasiste sa mga motorista at pangasiwaan ang matinding sitwasyon ng trapiko.
